Short circuit of stator winding generates circuit current under the action of short circuit voltage, causing inter turn short circuit to develop into single-phase ground short circuit and intermediate short circuit. When the multiphase short circuit of the stator winding is harmful to the unit, the short-circuit current can cause the unit to burn out.
The excitation current will drop or disappear sharply, the unit will absorb a large amount of power from the system, and the diesel generator set will change from synchronous operation to asynchronous operation, which will cause the system voltage to drop, and in serious cases, the system will collapse.
The excitation circuit will be grounded. There are two grounding conditions for the generator excitation circuit: one point grounding and two point grounding. Generally speaking, when a small amount of grounding occurs in the excitation circuit, the generator will not be seriously endangered. But if the generator is not maintained in a timely manner, it may lead to two point grounding, damage the rotor magnetic flux balance, cause strong vibration of the generator, and burn out the rotor winding.
This device will generate overvoltage. When the generator is suddenly unloaded during operation, if the diesel generator set is not repaired in time, it may generate overvoltage due to the large inertia of the speed governing system, resulting in damage to the insulation layer of the generator set.
The unit will be overloaded. Overload of diesel generator set means that the generator operates beyond the rated capacity. If the generator is not maintained in a timely manner, short-term overload operation will cause the temperature of the generator stator winding to rise, accelerate the aging of the insulation part, and shorten the service life of the generator. If the operating time is too long, it may cause the generator stator winding to burn out, resulting in the generator being unable to generate electricity.
If the diesel generator set is not maintained in time, the stator will overflow. Stator overcurrent is usually caused by external short circuits or system oscillations. If the generator is not maintained in a timely manner, when the temperature of the generator stator increases, it will accelerate the aging of the insulation part of the winding; In severe cases, it can lead to other malfunctions.
