First of all, it is necessary to verify the functions of auxiliary systems, such as cooling water, fuel oil and other systems and circuits, for any leakage or leakage, and ensure that the liquid level of the oil pan, oil tank and other oil storage tanks is displayed within the normal range before the diesel generator is started, and the outlet pressure and flow of the fuel pump and lubricating oil pump meet the design requirements. It is also verified that the function of preheating circuit meets the requirements of diesel engine thermal reserve.
Next, the electrical part of the diesel generator set needs to be debugged and function tested, such as testing the availability of the diesel generator set protection device: to ensure that the power supply is normal, the equipment in the cabinet is complete, and the parameter settings meet the design requirements, especially to ensure that various protection parameters are set within the required range, and correctly trigger the trip protection logic.
After the preliminary preparation, the diesel generator set shall be started. This test also verified that the functions of the auxiliary system of the emergency diesel generator set when the diesel engine is running can meet the design requirements. However, in this test, the diesel generator set operates without load. This startup is for the subsequent on load test to verify the availability of the diesel engine.
Before the on load test of the emergency diesel generator set, the availability of the excitation regulation system shall be checked under static conditions to verify the correctness of the relationship between the excitation current and the generator stator voltage in the emergency diesel generator set under no-load conditions, and the correctness of the relationship between the excitation current and the generator stator current under short-circuit conditions.
It is necessary to verify the operation of the diesel generator set under load, as well as the reliability and time response of various startup modes in emergency. The abnormal fluctuation of diesel engine power described in this paper was found in the full power test of diesel engine set.
