Gas generator set is a new type of generator set developed to meet the requirements of global environmental protection and the new market environment. There are mainly two types of natural gas generator sets, one is a combined cycle gas turbine and the other is a gas internal combustion engine. Gas turbines have relatively high power and are mainly used in large and medium-sized power plants, while gas internal combustion engines have relatively low power and are mainly used in small distributed power plants. It is a new type of green and environmentally friendly power that replaces fuel and coal-fired units. China has abundant natural gas resources. Compared to China's abundant natural gas reserves, the proportion of natural gas in China's primary energy consumption seems too small, and it has the potential to significantly increase in the future.
In China, due to the impact of natural gas supply, natural gas power generation is still in its initial stage. It will take time for large-scale natural gas power generation to become a distributed energy station. The current small-scale natural gas power generation is mainly used in oil fields, gas fields, airports, hotels, hospitals, etc. It can be expected that with the increasing supply of natural gas and the continuous expansion of the supply range, natural gas power generation will experience rapid development in recent years.
Gas generator sets have the advantages of wide output power range, high reliability in startup and operation, good power generation quality, light weight, small volume, simple maintenance, and low low-frequency noise. Generally, they have the following four advantages:
1、 Good power generation quality
Due to the fact that the generator set only operates in rotational motion, the electrical regulation response speed is fast, and the operation is particularly stable. The accuracy of the generator output voltage and frequency is high, with small fluctuations. When suddenly adding or reducing 50% and 75% of the load, the unit operates very stably, which is better than the electrical performance index of diesel generator sets.
2、 Good startup performance and high success rate of startup
The time from successful cold start to full load is only 30 seconds, while according to international regulations, diesel generators are loaded for 3 minutes after successful start. Gas turbine generator sets can ensure the success rate of startup under any ambient temperature and climate.
3、 Low noise and low vibration
Due to the high-speed rotation of the gas turbine, its vibration is very small, and low-frequency noise is better than that of diesel generator sets.
4、 The combustible gas used is a clean and inexpensive energy source
Power generation units fueled by gases such as gas, platycodon gas, and biogas not only operate reliably and have low costs, but also turn waste into treasure without generating pollution.
