In industrial production processes such as coal chemical, coking, and fertilizer, a large amount of desorption gas (also known as desorption gas or release gas) rich in hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and methane is produced. The working principle of gas generator sets follows the basic process of internal combustion engine power generation, but varies due to fuel characteristics. The analytical gas collected from industrial production equipment is first subjected to a pretreatment system, which includes equipment such as filtration, desulfurization, dehydration, and pressure reduction, to remove impurities, sulfides, and moisture from the analytical gas, adjust gas pressure and flow rate to meet engine combustion requirements. The preprocessed decomposed gas enters the gas engine, mixes with an appropriate amount of air in the cylinder, and is ignited to generate high-temperature and high-pressure gas, which drives the piston to make reciprocating motion, drives the crankshaft to rotate, and converts the chemical energy of the decomposed gas into mechanical energy. The crankshaft is connected to the generator rotor, and according to the principle of electromagnetic induction, an induced electromotive force is generated in the stator winding, which outputs electrical energy.

The core challenge of analyzing gas generators lies in the complexity of analyzing gas composition. The hydrogen content of the analytical gases produced by different processes can range from 10% to 60%, with even greater differences in carbon monoxide content. The unit needs to use multi-stage filtration and component adjustment technology to accurately adapt to complex components such as coke oven gas, biogas, and chemical tail gas.
